Our company story
Since our founding in Germany, we have completed numerous important projects. Our expertise in landscape planning has made us a sought-after partner.
1977
The company ÖKOPLAN was founded in 1977 by Dr. Rimathé and Dr. Vaçlena based in Zurich. Even then, the focus of work was on ecological planning and studies. In the following years, the company expanded its geographical area of activity more and more, in particular to Germany and the Lower Rhine region.
1990—2003
In order to be able to handle the steadily growing number of projects competently and effectively, the German sister company ÖKOPLAN was founded in 1990. In 1996, this was converted into an independently operating GmbH, which was converted into a GmbH & Co. KG in 2003.
2015
In 2015, the company headquarters were moved to Hamminkeln-Mehrhoog. From there, the company operates within the region, in Münsterland, in the Ruhr region, in the Cologne/Aachen area and also throughout Germany.
Since then
ÖKOPLAN is currently working on innovative projects in landscape and environmental planning. The aim is to develop sustainable solutions for future challenges.
